The Artist Behind the Lens
Most women come in nervous. That's fine; expected, even. What's not expected is what happens after.
I'm Jelle. I've spent years creating the kind of space where a woman can stop worrying about how she looks and start discovering what she looks like. There's a difference. A big one.
Here's what they said
"I just got my photos back and I am SHOOK at Jelle's work with shadows and angles. Jelle was so easy to work with! He gave me enough direction that as a first timer I felt supported but still gave me enough freedom to do my own thing. We ended up making the shoot more of a maternity boudoir which was exactly what I was wanting. I HIGHLY recommend getting some gorgeous photos of yourself during such a beautifully vulnerable time in your life like pregnancy!"
— TaylorWhat safety looks like in my studio
Every session at Silhouette & Soul begins with a simple requirement: bring someone you trust. A partner, a friend, a sister. Whoever makes you feel safest. They're there with you from the start, because this kind of work deserves a witness you've chosen yourself.
Before we begin, we talk through everything. Wardrobe, comfort levels, what you're hoping to walk away with. You're in control at every moment. Want to pause, adjust, or skip something? Say the word. No explanation needed.
I've designed every part of this experience — the lighting, the pacing, the reveal — so that you feel held, not exposed. The goal is always the same: that you leave feeling more like yourself than when you arrived.
"Thank you to Jelle for the awesome maternity photos! The photos came out amazing and I couldn't be happier. Seeing them makes me feel really great about myself. He was professional and very easy going and made me feel so comfortable through the whole shoot. Highly recommended if any Moms-to-be are thinking of getting some photos done!"
