Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book my maternity session?
The ideal time to book your maternity session is between 28 and 34 weeks. This is when your belly is beautifully defined while you are still comfortable enough to move and pose. My private studio in West Kelowna fills up quickly, so booking 1 to 2 months in advance is recommended. If you are closer to your due date, reach out anyway — I may have last-minute availability.
What is included in the session fee?
Your session fee includes a fully guided fine art experience in my private West Kelowna studio. This covers pre-session planning, posing guidance, professional lighting, and a relaxed, supportive environment. You will also receive a set number of professionally edited images, with the option to purchase more. Every session is designed to create timeless maternity or boudoir portraits.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup can be added to your session for a polished, luxury experience. I work with trusted local artists in the West Kelowna and Okanagan area who understand the soft, fine art style of my work. While it is not included by default, I highly recommend it for both maternity and boudoir sessions — it helps you feel confident and camera-ready from the moment you arrive.
How long does a session take?
A typical maternity session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. This allows time for outfit changes, different lighting setups, and guided posing without feeling rushed. I keep the experience calm and intentional to capture authentic, emotional images. Boudoir sessions may vary slightly depending on the variety you want.
What should I wear for my boudoir session?
Choose pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable — lingerie, robes, or even simple draped fabrics all work beautifully. I will guide you before your shoot with styling suggestions that suit the fine art look of my studio. Neutral tones and textures photograph beautifully with my light and shadow style. You do not need to be a model — I guide you through everything.
How do I receive my final images?
After your session you will receive access to a private online gallery where you can view and select your images. Final edits are delivered digitally in high resolution, ready for printing or sharing. Turnaround times are clearly communicated so you know exactly when to expect your images.
Do you serve Kelowna, Peachland, or Lake Country?
Yes. My studio is based in West Kelowna and I regularly work with clients from Kelowna, Peachland, Lake Country, and across the Okanagan. Many clients travel specifically for the private, guided fine art experience I offer. Whether you are booking a maternity or boudoir session, you are welcome in my studio — I aim to make every client feel comfortable, respected, and confident.
